Jealousy and Other “Lovely” Emotions that could be the Keys to Manifesting

What I’m about to share with you has been weighing on my mind for a couple of weeks. Can I really share this with you? Should I? Oh my gosh, what will you think?

Every time I feel scared to share a message, I know I’m meant to share it. So here we go.

A couple of weeks ago I was in a dark place. I was in a tailspin of jealousy, envy, pity and being pissed off. Like seriously pissed off.

I remember a mentor of mine telling me “Angella, I think you just need to get really pissed off and you’ll have a breakthrough in your business.”

Myth Busters Part 3: Sell without Selling

Sales. For some folks, that is a 4-letter word.

And we see solutions to this 4-letter plague in the form of: (actual things I’ve heard experts say)

How to sell without selling.

How to sell without being sleazy or salesy.

Close high-end clients without selling.

Sales for heart-centered women.

And on and on.

The truth is, you’ve got to sell in your business if you want to be in business. If you want to avoid selling, then you are building a hobby. Period.

I hated selling. Then I attended an event years ago when the event host told everyone at the beginning of the 3-day event that “There will be a time when I sell something to you. And if you have issues with that, it has nothing to do with me, but everything to do with your money story and how you value yourself.”

I thought about that. And he was right.

The Million Dollar Questions

Mindset is definitely a part of money. And so is action. You’ve got to have both.

One of the tools I use in my own money breakthroughs is asking myself these five questions:

1. Who would feel threatened if I make more money?

2. Who am I afraid of disrespecting if I make more money?

3. Who am I afraid I will become if I make more money?

4. What relationships will no longer align with me if I make more money?

5. On a scale of 1-10, how much do I trust myself w/ money?

As you can see from the above Summer Bliss photo, I recently saw the Broadway musical Wicked. It was amazing. I highly recommend seeing it if you haven’t.

I kept thinking something was “off” when I bought the tickets but I ignored that feeling.

It wasn’t until the night of the play that I realized I had been duped. I didn’t realize I purchased the tickets from a scam site. They basically position themselves as the “official” ticket agent for the performance, charge double the rate then buy the tickets from the real agent. Then hopefully they send you the real tickets, but only after you paid double plus a $30 “convenience fee.”

Myth Busters Part 2: Live Events – hot tips for hosting and attending

You cannot imitate the kind of transformation that happens in a live environment but even so, I stopped doing my big events this year. Why? I couldn’t do the event formula any longer.

I have a knack for pulling together a big vision with the right colors, content, flow and ambiance together to create a big impact.

Live events in the coaching industry are getting a bad rap and for good reason. Generally, event hosts are assuming (although I believe they are unconscious about this) that you are not smart enough to make decisions without pressure, that you are desperate, or both.

Live events break down into: 1-filling the room, 2-giving content/value, 3-making an offer, 4-repeat. The bigger the event, the more details you manage.

Here is the coaching industry standard: Host a 2-3 day event, fill the room how ever you can, make your big offer on the afternoon of day #2, tell people the what and just part of the how so they “are more motivated to buy your big offer,” give people a show and they will be impressed. The end. Repeat every time you want to have a 6- or 7figure payday.

Easy peasy right?

People are seeing through this formula.

You’ve been there right?

You feel the energy, staff is wearing their branded shirts and the events signs that are strategically placed, let you know that something big is happening inside that hotel conference room.

DIY Graphic Design Tips

When I was in college I was at a loss of what to major in. I was wasting a lot of time and money taking classes as exploration paths. I was also a nanny in college and while this family impacted me in many ways, the mom of the family was a marketing director, and she gave me some of the best advice I have EVER received.

She told me if I could write and I knew some graphic design, I would be very desirable for marketing jobs. And she was right.

I started taking some graphic design classes. My favorite project was to do a magazine spread (layout). I noticed something crazy with my classmates: none of them could write well.

When it came time to do a headline for the magazine layout and some mock text, they were lost. Their project didn’t have the “oomph” it could have. I found that a lot of graphic designers were great at making things look “really cool” or “really pretty,” but not very functional or usable for the end user. They had no idea how to write or communicate, and it greatly limited the jobs they could get.

Switch over to my journalism courses and I found the opposite problem. When it came time to layout the articles we were writing, guess what? Most of them looked horrible.

I saw a group of people who could design, but couldn’t write and another group who could write, but didn’t have an eye or skill for design.

I set myself apart in my classes and in my job interviews out of college with the fact that I could do both: write and design. And I use those skills EVERY SINGLE DAY.

With programs like and, you can have amazing programs to create images. People ask me all of the time who does my graphics. I do most of them. It’s a creative outlet for me and I love it. But I know when to hire things out so I keep focused on income-producing activities.

Remember this: It can be homemade, but it just can’t look homemade. I love DIY projects!
