Doors are Open for Magic

Doors are Open for Magic

Happy New Year! Today, I’m sharing my favorite two questions to ask when I’m creating something in my business and an invitation to join me in more magic in your business. This New Years was no different than what my hubby and I have done for the last decade (by choice). My hubby and I hosted a New Year’s party and at the stroke of midnight, we sang happy birthday for my hubby! (He’s a Jan 1 baby.) Then the next day we had lunch where we asked each other two questions I always ask people on their birthday: What were your favorite things about the past year? What are you most looking forward to in the upcoming year? This isn’t about resolutions, it’s about acknowledging what we’ve created so we can create an even more expanded future than we’ve thought possible. As we both shared our favorite things and what we’re creating this year, I was overcome with gratitude that we have created the relationship where we can do this with each other. This year, one of our targets is to bring him home from his job. Why do we do this process every year with each other? What we acknowledge we can change. What we judge, stays solid and cannot change. If you’re looking at your 2017 and hoping for things to be different, start with acknowledging what occurred and what is occurring, then share your gratitude for it. Then CHOOSE what you’d like to change. After decades of doing just about every ritual you can think of to “manifest” abundance (aka money but I never called...
How to Create More in Relationships, Money and Business

How to Create More in Relationships, Money and Business

When I learned this principle of Connection Points vs Creation Points, it blew my world open. One of the things I’ve struggled with since a child, is finding people who wanted to CREATE more. Often times as an adult, I feel alone in my strong drive to move mountains to create new possibilities and paths. Granted, this isn’t the truth, but it’s often how I feel. For people who know me personally, know that I move fast. When I’m clear and I know what I desire, I move really fast in that direction. Where there is a “no,” I find another way. So creating things in this manner, can feel like you’re creating things alone and how much fun is that? If can relate, you may even tell yourself that you’re not the easiest person to be in relationship with or work for. Now that I have this tool, it’s created so much magic and space in my relationships, including my amazing husband Richard and for my team. Thank you to Glenyce Hughes for introducing me to this concept originally. You can find the fabulous Gleynce at www.glenyce.net. Other resources I mentioned: www.AccessConsciousness.com and...
Are you pity selling or giving value?

Are you pity selling or giving value?

I was in Las Vegas a few weeks ago celebrating my friend’s 40th birthday and while exploring Freemont Street, I saw this sign in front of a street artist’s booth. My heart sank. I was drawn in by his art. But rather than staying intrigued with it, this sign turned me off completely. Why? Because when people try to draw me in through pity instead of giving value, I don’t stay engaged. While I appreciate people’s ability to make a bold ask, I don’t buy things out of pity or being guilted into it. It’s why I don’t donate to causes that are focused on victimizing people, but I support causes that are about creating solutions to create a better world. This is the power of messaging. We may not have a sign like this on our website or in our place of business, but energetically this is what you are communicating every time you think “I hope they buy because I need to pay my car payment.” What we’re essentially doing is asking the next buying client to save us from our financial situation. It’s not their responsibility to save us from our past decisions. That kind of pressure squelches inspiration and inhibits your prospect’s ability to see the true value you bring to the table. What do you when you are feeling the financial pressure, but don’t want to bring that into your sales and marketing? Quantum leaps don’t happen on the extremes of the pendulum

Quantum leaps don’t happen on the extremes of the pendulum

My old-old-old life: My soul was dying in my corporate life doing the “responsible” thing. (Extreme end of the pendulum.) My old-old life: I attempted to meditate my way to money. It didn’t work. (The other end of the pendulum) My old life: I hustled faster to make money. I made six figures but then I got burned out big time. (Back to the other end of the pendulum.) My new life: I stopped chasing the extremes of the pendulum and stopped long enough to receive what I had actually asked for. I have a growing 6-figure business, BUT more importantly, I love my life. I love my business. I love what I do. I have freedom. (I balance what works and pause long enough to receive.) Instead of chasing the extremes of the pendulum, are you stopping long enough to RECEIVE what you’ve been asking for?  Or are you so busy distracting yourself, that you don’t even recognize that the very things you’ve been asking for are RIGHT HERE, but you don’t even see it? Want to get my four tips to stop the pendulum swing so you actually manifest what you say you want? Scroll down to the video below. See if you can relate with this… My old-old life (pre-2008): I thought I could meditate my way to money. And when it didn’t work, I did a great job of convincing myself that I had a huge money mindset problem and I needed a lot of healing work. So I got buys trying to heal my way to money. I told myself that once I got...
{Soulpreneur Sunday} Your Monthly Income Goal Can Be a Trap

{Soulpreneur Sunday} Your Monthly Income Goal Can Be a Trap

If your “marketing plan” often sounds like “how can I make money this month,” then this week’s tip will guide you to create consistent income without the worry. And even if you do have an actual marketing plan, but you aren’t seeing the financial results you would like, then listen up for an easier way. It sounds sexy to have a $10,000 a month income goal, or $5,000 or $20,000. So you get yourself psyched up, you may even tell your coach to add some accountability, and you shoot for the stars. But month after month of not reaching that income goal, your confidence sinks, the bills stack up, and the worry takes over. I used to live in this place regularly. Then I stopped thinking about the money. And every time I do what I’m teaching you in this week’s Soulpreneur Sunday episode, I make more money and most importantly, I make it with ease instead of the hustle that was causing adrenal fatigue among other things. When you aren’t making the money you desire and you set a big monthly goal, you are focusing on the gap (the money you aren’t making). Instead, you want to ask this question and let go over things like low-cost products and programs until you are making a consistent amount of money each month. Get the question in the video below and simplify your money-making...
{Soulpreneur Sunday} This works better than charging what you’re worth

{Soulpreneur Sunday} This works better than charging what you’re worth

Charge what you’re worth. You’ve probably been told that this one way to raise your prices. I used to subscribe to this motto also; I used to teach it. But think about it for a second: how can you possibly charge what you’re worth? Your value is infinite. You are priceless. How can you put a price tag on what you are worth? The other thing I heard was “Charge what your client is worth,” because their worth is so great. But we can use the same argument with your client – they are priceless. So how do you raise your prices? Before that question, you need to answer the foundation question: what is the price that’s in alignment for you? Embody THAT price, then when you evolve into a higher price point, it’s time to ask the question of how to raise your rates. In Elizabeth Gilbert’s book “Big Magic” she talks about how your creativity has an energy that taps you on the shoulder and asks you to bring it into the world. That creativity is your book, your business, your program… Your business has a voice, it has consciousness. Have you asked your business how much it would like to charge its products and programs? If this is the first time considering that concept, it can sound a little wacky. Maybe downright crazy. Here’s the thing: when you develop this kind of communication with your business, things like pricing, attracting clients, launching programs and your confidence will be much easier. Get the full scoop in my video below. Things to avoid when raising your rates: Nice...
