Here are 5 questions (you can save them as screensavers for your phone) to guide your Solstice time and completion of 2020.
(scroll down to the bottom of this post to get the screensavers)

What wants to come through me?
If I was putting my gifts and genius first, what would I choose?
What would love do here?

Where can I love myself more?
How can I expand my receiving today?

But, why Solstice?

Simply it’s this: it was the thing that anchored me to truth as I let go of everything I thought I knew.

When I was 19-years-old, I started expanding my beliefs beyond the religion I was raised in. My curiosity led me to study Buddhism and mindfulness and my teacher encouraged me to question everything. Everything I believed. Everything I knew. Especially everything I was told.

This worked well for me because I’ve always been quite the question asker.

During this exploration of beliefs, traditions, and spirituality, I kept returning to the peace and expansiveness I felt when I explored the Winter and Summer Solstice.

It’s always felt grounding and deep to me. I know there is more to explore as I connect with my ancestors and lineage, yet it anchored me in a world of uncertainty because, during that time of leaving what I knew, I blew up my entire belief system and the community I was a part of.

Who was I without that belief system? Without that community? What is true for me now? Those questions became my guiding light throughout my life.

So the Solstice has become the day I choose to celebrate this holiday season. I continue to explore truth as it evolves and deepens – and some truths fall away. Some truth gets reborn as new awareness.

My Wish

No matter what you do or don’t celebrate, my hope for you and for humanity is that we expand our love and create peace within ourselves so every breath and every step we take ignites new possibilities.

Let us remember our wholeness and our ability to create beyond limitations. Give us the courage and tenacity to create new systems where every person is honored, valued, seen, and treated equally with kindness and love.

As we look around this great big world and what we desire to create next, we notice that not everyone is starting at the same starting line. Not everyone has the awareness and privileges we have.

As we acknowledge this, we also realize that there is plenty of abundance for everyone and we reach out our hands and open our hearts to help others. We all win. We are all loved. We can all create when we help each other.

We honor our differences. We see our unique perspectives and gifts as contributions to create a world far greater than we’ve ever experienced.

May we know that we are loved and treat ourselves with that truth.
This is my wish for you. Me. For humanity. For us.
